Stig Lindberg was a Swedish ceramic designer, glass designer, textile designer, industrial designer, painter, and illustrator. He was one of Sweden’s most important postwar designers and created studio ceramics and tableware lines during a long career with the Gustavsberg pottery factory. Lindberg’s ceramic designs were often whimsical and playful, featuring bold colors and abstract patterns. He was also known for his use of organic shapes and forms in his designs. Lindberg’s work has been exhibited in museums around the world including the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
